Prissiano & South Tyrol

Prissiano is also named the Castle Village: it is situated in the Tisner Mittelgebirge at 620 m, idyllic and far away from the main arteries. Some centuries ago royal people preferred staying here in the summer time and built their residences.

The inhabitants of Prissian and Tesimo take care about tradition and manufacture. Once a year, in the autumn, take place the chest-nut days named „Keschtnriggl“. There are offered folklore music, a pageant, farmers’ market, roasted chestnuts and many other specialities with the chestnut cropped in Tesimo and Prissiano.
